Coming out of a cranky
and tempermental plank of cherry, this cabinet was only going
to be what it wanted to be. The intersting asymmetrical design
features panels of pitch flecked cherry. Pitch fleck is caused
by insect larvae burrowing down into the living tree. The resulting
tunnels become filled with dark scar tissue and provide the dramatic
streaking in the wood grain.
